Colgate admits ‘tongue brushing’ idea was just a marketing fiddle

After months of in-depth investigations from the UK Health Association(UKHA), Colgate have finally admitted that there are no clear benefits to brushing your tongue and the whole concept was just a marketing ploy to try and increase dwindling sales numbers.

Aaron Marsh, the head of marketing for Colgate, commented;

“It was worth a shot, Our sales figures were dropping and there’s only so many times you can change the colour of the bristles.”

Aaron added;

“Our only other option was to incorporate a tonsil scraper but as the majority of the population have had them removed, we decided it wasn’t cost-effective”

The UKHA are also looking into the claim Johnson & Johnson have made regarding the “No more tears” aspect of their baby shampoo range.
